Your files stay on your Mac

Browsing, file search, OCR and duplicate analysis run locally. FileHome does not upload your documents, images or extracted text for these features. It browses the folders you choose.

What the app saves locally

Folder access bookmarks, preferences and saved searches are stored on your Mac. Extracted text is cached in the app’s local Application Support data. Your activation receipt and license key are saved in macOS Keychain. Removing the app alone may leave these local settings and caches.

License services

FileHome contacts Dodo Payments to activate, validate and deactivate your license. These requests include your license key and activation identifiers; activation also uses a name for the Mac instance. They do not include your library contents. Network services receive connection information such as your IP address.

This website

The FileHome pages do not include advertising scripts, analytics scripts or a tracking-cookie banner. Hosting and network providers may process technical request logs needed to deliver and protect the site. The sample search runs in your browser with fictional files and does not read your Mac.

Purchases and updates

Paid downloads are not open. When offered, checkout is handled by Dodo Payments under its own privacy information. The current preview has no configured automatic update feed. This page will be updated before live sales and automatic updates are enabled.
